Aura Beauty Room, Lancaster – Shellac review

Fed up of your nail varnish looking shabby? Chipping just after applying it?  Well here is something you must experience….

Shellac Nails are taking the beauty world by storm.  This new revolutionary product is changing the way women get their nails done.  Shellac looks as good, if not better than acrylic.

Shellac lasts up to 14 days without losing it’s shine or shimmer.  They are hard and do not scratch or smudge.  When it comes to taking them off the nail, it’s as easy as 1-2-3 and does not damage the nail itself.

I went along to Aura Beauty Room, Scale Hall, Lancaster, to try out this new fantastic product.  On arrival at the Beauty Room, I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly welcome from owner Sue and therapist Rebecca.  I was offered a drink whilst Rebecca ran through how the Shellac nails worked, how the treatment would go and the longer term benefits.

With a massive range of 20 colours and finishes to choose from, I was a little spoiled for choice, but I eventually opted for a glam pink with the Rockstar finish on my toes.  Rockstar is a gorgeous and girlie glitter-based Shellac finish, and with the sun beating down and holidays approaching the pairing seemed the perfect choice.  Apparently on toes it can last up to four weeks or more, depending on the growth rate of your nails so this would be perfect to ensure summer shoe wear for at least a few weeks ahead.

As part of the Shellac package, Aura also offer a mini pedicure to smarten up your nails and ensure the perfect, flawless finish.  This was thoroughly relaxing, and the overall warm and welcoming ambience of the salon made for an overall lovely, chilled experience, which was over all too quickly with the whole process for my mini pedi and shellac treatment being done well within an hour… it took me almost that long to choose my colours beforehand!

Would I recommend Shellac nails by Aura Beauty Rooms… absolutely, yes I would.  Indeed I’m planning another visit to get my fingernails done next which is just £25 including a mini-mani and also removal when you’re done with them too.  But aside from that Aura offers a whole range of treatments and services which I plan to check out over the course of the summer, and I’d absolutely urge you to do the same.

A brilliant little find!
